Andrew Slayton is an adventurist and an up and coming software engineer. He has a love for exploration that spans back to his childhood. He discovered his love for tinkering when he took apart his XBOX 360 in 6th grade(and broke it). Once he discovered his passion for tinkering with electronics, he was set on computer science. Ever since then, he has been on a journey to simply learn and tinker more.
As previously stated, Andrew loves to adventure. He has been across the United States, including hiking in Arizona, snowboarding in Colorado, and climbing in the Badlands. He plans to backpack across Europe and live in the mountains of Colorado in the future. Sources say he is a big lifter and prioritizes his health.

Foundations of mathematical logic, set theory, and graph theory. Projects included Python scripts for bipartite graphs, degree sequences, and coloring algorithms such as minimum spanning tree.

Software Engineer / Dec. 2024 – Jan. 2026
• Led the architecture and development of a car detailing platform processing more than 1,000 vehicles per month. • Designed and developed event-driven .NET 8 applications to process daily vehicle data through SFTP in coordination with vAuto. • Automated database migrations across 13 AWS EC2 instances, synchronizing schema changes in under 2 minutes. • Contributed to migrating deployments from AWS EC2 to AWS ECS, reducing cloud infrastructure costs by approximately $1,000 per month. • Partnered directly with clients to design configurable features while minimizing performance and maintenance overhead.
React and Next.js web app allowing users to log in using Google, interact with a Google Map to select an exact location, select workouts, and connect with other users if they have selected the same muscle groups. All information is stored in AWS DynamoDB.
Python executable program built upon real-time video processing to predict when a user is looking down at their phone, using an algorithm constructed through various testing. Includes a connected website to handle API requests and display a leaderboard.
Group project built to understand the software development process while working with a team in the Agile workflow. Features a leaderboard, daily challenges, user storage, user data manipulation, Strava integration, and SQL for data storage.
